I have the opportunity to be working with a cross-functional team of highly talented professionals from Engineering, Data Science and Analytics and to be building Vodafone's journey into the world of IoT data, one product sprint at a time. Ours is a real built-from-scratch-to-scale product story, where "from scratch" means notes on a post-it after a long brainstorming session. "to scale" means a product launched within one of the largest telecommunications companies in the industry, in multiple geographies and on millions of devices.My role is very much customer-facing - from customer conversations, bids, sales/marketing campaigns and training, I work very closely with Vodafone's wider Sales function and customers across multiple geographies. This allows me to learn first-hand what problems we are going to solve and set the direction for our unique B2B IoT Data Analytics product, which runs on one of the world's largest IoT platforms.Speaking about IoT, In addition to connecting millions of people, Vodafone connects 160+ million IoT devices worldwide - playing a leading role in the digital transformation of organisations across several industries. Cars, trucks, buses, medical devices, smart meters, coffee machines, payment terminals, buildings and so much more. When any of these devices get connected and become "smart", they also start generating huge amounts of data by connecting to the networks. We analyse such IoT data and help those organisations/Vodafone's B2B customers manage their operations more effectively, identify potential issues early on, mitigate risks of fraud/misuse/attacks, improve compliance, make date-driven decisions on their investment, and ultimately deliver an even better experience to their own end customers.***It is never a dull day in the world of IoT data.It is always exciting to shape the future in and through Product.***
