BACKGROUND===========I am a flexible, analytic and positive thinking IT professional with a genuine interest in driving current and future technology innovations to transform organizations.Solid background in business processes transformation and IT Professional Services combined with a strong experience in SAP, ERPs, BI tools, Open Source and Business Applications in general, developed over +20 years of professional experience, both in the Services and in the Software industries.Current interests are focused on Composable Business Applications, Business Analytics and applications of Machine Learning into Retail industry and Business Applications (please, join my group "Machine Learning for Business (en español)" if you want to discuss them).CAREER TRACK=============At the beginning of my career I worked for Capgemini, where I served three years as SAP Senior Consultant. After that, I worked for the very successful multinational consulting firm everis, where I served as a Senior Manager, responsible for the SAP Business Unit in Barcelona. Then, looking for a first hand entrepreneurial experience, I joined the embryo of Openbravo in 2005 as a Director and executive team member. By leveraging on my previous experience, I played - together with the founders -, an important role launching, consolidating and expanding the operations of the start-up in several areas and functions. Nowadays Openbravo is considered one of the leading platform vendors for Retail.OTHER INTERESTS===============I enjoy helping innovative start-ups acting as -minority- private investor and/or advisor for several tech companies based in Spain.In my spare time I also enjoy teaching. I has been the Academic Director and associate Lecturer on the Master's programme on Open Source, SaaS and Cloud Business Applications at IEBSchool.
