I am a Sociologist with over 10 years of in-depth hands-on experience in social analysis and socioeconomic research. I hold a Master’s Degree in Sociology with specialization in Development Studies (Department of Sociology, University of Brasilia - Brazil) since 2006 and a Degree in Social Sciences by the same university since 2003. Since graduating in 2004, I have developed a keen research interest in socioeconomics. I have extensive practical experience acquired from my past experience as a consultant for the different Municipal governments in Mozambique (on Urban Planning), Non-government Organizations working with different social groups (Homeless, women, children and lesbian, gays, bisexual, and transgender community in Mozambique). I have also worked as a lecturer at Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM) on the subjects of Methods of Research and as the Dean’s adviser at the Faculty of Social Sciences. I have extensive experience and a keen interest in programs that provide social assistance to targeted vulnerable groups. I am currently a Manager at the Research Division at the African Tax Administration Forum, the leading Africa tax organisation, which is building efficient and effective tax regimes in Africa and is the leader on African tax administration and policy matters. Its work is improving African Domestic Resource Mobilization which is needed to enhance economic development and improve the living standards of the people of Africa.
