Eunhyeok Jee Email and Phone Number
I am a first-year at UC Davis, where I hope to pursue all aspects of the brain, from philosophy about how the mind works, to the anatomy and physiology of it. I am currently working as a nonprofit chief director for Low Brass Network, a 501c3 organization where we provide opportunities such as lessons, research, and the ability to meet renowned artists for free. I also work in the UCD Bike Program, where I not only do physical labor, such as impounding bikes, but also streamline the process with great feedback. In my last year, I took on a year-long research project focused on the lack of access to mental health, and how to prevent it. After reading through multiple articles, interviewing a local therapist in the area, and even participating in a research study that got released, I realized that people, specifically youth, do not know where to start. In their hardest times, they consult their friends rather than professionals, and even then there are sometimes no professionals around to help them.I'm interested in becoming a psychiatrist to fight the global mental health crisis, and give back to the people who helped me through my own tough times. I want to find and take opportunities in all areas of my life, such as organizational leadership, health and medicine, public service, Christianity, and especially mental health. Let's connect, I'd love to learn more!

Bike Patrol OfficerUcd Bike Transportation Services Sep 2022 - PresentDavis, California, United StatesI was responsible for many daily tasks, such as filling out impound forms, updating bike inventory at storage locations, driving a patrol truck, and more. Upon working, I addressed the need of additional equipment to streamline impound process and safety concerns, which resulted in a change of saw blade type, and additional plans for more technology/equipment. As an extra pair of eyes, I have to utilize quick thinking to de-escalate sudden serious situations, contacting proper authorities and ensuring safety. I also provide support during large events, such as football games, by answering questions and managing bike/vehicle traffic.

Chief DirectorLow Brass Network Dec 2021 - PresentDavis, California, United StatesI co-found a 501c3 nonprofit from the ground up. I do a lot of tasks, such as filing for taxes, creating a nonprofit bank account, developing payment methods for online store/donations, and setting up Google Suite emails. I also coordinate board meetings to achieve goals, provide innovative solutions and feedback to roadblocks, create and sign acts/bylaws, collaborate with other organizations that support ideals. In our second year of being founded, I facilitated the creation of the International Low Brass Festival, an event with over 80 performing artists, by designing merch, speaking with renowned musicians/professors/creators in the low brass industry, and influencing event decisions -
InternOnegene Biotechnology Jul 2023 - Aug 2023Gyeonggi, South KoreaAs a Clinical/RA Team Intern at OneGene Biotechnology Inc, the main tasks I had were helping around with general office work and support, such as by sorting archives and receipts from the research support team, searching through ClinicalTrails.gov, FDA, EMA, MFDS, and PMDA files to identify relevant clinical trials and industry recommendations, and also converting Korean lab reports into English ones, making sure none lost their meaning but was also kept in a formal tone with proper grammar. I was also tasked to start research presentations of selected topics as requested by the CEO. The hardest part was probably the most basic one: setting the foundation for future interns by creating intern report templates for the entire period. For one specific project I had (which I won't delve deep into due to my Confidentiality Agreement), I really just want to point out that I kept in touch with the laboratory research team and handled their lab reports for English translation. I worked with them a lot and asked them the corresponding questions if something was mistranslated, but it was usually improper syntax, and by the time I was done, I hopefully created a generalized writing style in most of their reports.Another project for me was creating four research presentations for the CEO, improving my searching skills to find the perfect academic journal and completely compiling all the information I gathered into a docx note, then transforming it to a well-presented ppt. Of course, I had to present the ppt as well, mixing both Korean and English terms together to maintain understanding.Notable challenges were definitely learning not only the Korean language, but also the Korean workplace culture. Not only was it my first time working in Korea, but it was also my first time in an office environment. In the end, I really felt that I had learned and assimilated, but also I felt the impact I made on the company due to the American perspective I brought in. -
