The Executive Committee of Convocation is a representative platform for the Wits Alumni to deliberate and express opinions on all matters concerning the University, uphold its reputation and quality of education, and shape the University's direction and decisions.

 Legal Manager (November 2012-November 2018): Managed the international finance cluster comprising up to six lawyers in legal services department with oversight of IDC’s international and local funding transactions. Role included allocation of workload, pipeline meetings, training and skills development, performance appraisals, quality assurance of legal agreements, assistance with recruitment, legal spend management and budgeting, appointment of external legal counsel. Lead lawyer of IDC’s capital raising in international and local markets through its corporate funding department. Delegated to Acting Head of Department, where required.  Attended to ad hoc requests by head of department, the chief financial officer, and other divisional executives. Conceptualised and spearheaded law students vacation programme to prep for their prospective placements at IDC panel law firms. Lead lawyer in IDC funded projects, namely hotel construction projects in Uganda and Ghana, an airport construction project in Senegal; gas power project in Mozambique; tree farming project in Mozambique; LPG pipeline and infrastructure project in Ghana; local mining projects; credit lines to other development finance institutions in Zimbabwe and rest of Africa; and local renewable energy independent power projects.Specialist role included legal due diligences investigations and reporting, attendance of credit committee meetings for prospective transactions; review, drafting and negotiation of funding agreements (debt, equity, quasi-equity, security); collaboration with local and foreign law firms.

 Managed team of lawyers responsible for acquisitions and leverage finance, trade finance, balance sheet funding and project finance business units. Role included legal risk reporting, pipeline meetings, appointment of external legal counsel, management of legal spend, performance reviews. Member of Legal Management Council responsible for the operational management of Absa Legal department.  Diversity Forum Officer representing Absa Business Bank Division. Completed Absa/GIBS Management Development Programme (July 2010-February 2011).
