About Eunice Adewusi

Hi there! My name is Eunice Adewusi, but you can call me Climiradi. I am a sophomore at the African Leadership University, pursuing a BSc in Software Engineering with a passion for leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. I now specialise in Machine Learning and have a keen interest in its integration in climate change mitigation and sustainable development using a gender lens.I have led front-end development projects like ChowBeta, an award-winning e-commerce app designed to reduce agricultural spoilage, and co-created Nevents, a web app boosting community engagement by 30%. My technical toolkit includes Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL, coupled with my adaptability and problem-solving abilities, and a knack for responsive design and agile development. Currently, I am interning in web development and Python programming at OpenBootcamp and Oasis Infobyte, respectively.Beyond code, I am a women, climate, youth, and SDGs advocate, and the founder of Nexo Girls (formerly FYGE), a non-profit dedicated to empowering young women with globally demanded skills and bridging the gender gap in STEAM fields. Through various initiatives, we have trained 2,500 youth, promoting gender equality and social justice. I have also contributed to global initiatives as a volunteer with a reach of over 40,000 people and currently serve as a 🇺🇳 UN Foundation Engine Room Changemaker, driving sustainability goals and advocating for climate action through its Our Future Agenda initiative.As a Mastercard Foundation Scholar, I have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership. My journey in tech is complemented by my role as a Core Team Lead at the Google Developer Student Club (GDSC) in college, where I coordinate projects and foster a collaborative learning environment.
