I love working with companies that are mission-driven, working on technology that is changing the world and always innovating. I love working in a role where I can work closely with hiring managers and my recruiting team. I care about the impact the company I work for has in communities and I care about the impact I can have in an organization. I especially thrive in fast-paced, growth-centric environments. However, the most important is that I get to work with great people. I also prefer to work in recruiting teams that operate as a team rather than individuals against each other. I value honesty, transparency, good communication and compassion. I can do it but so can every other sourcer because that's just easy sourcing. I like a challenge and to get creative. My specialty is in 3 things: working fast with high accuracy, finding diamonds-in-the-rough candidates and advising hiring managers and senior leadership based on talent analysis and data. I know as sourcers we're evaluated by our numbers but before numbers, I believe it’s about helping people find a company they love enough that they want to stay and helping companies find people that they want to keep. I want the companies I work for to win and I want my candidates to win. During my gap, I’ve been volunteering at a non-profit that helps female immigrants with their career aspirations and help our partner companies who share our mission find good candidates.When I'm not working, I'm either learning something new, strategizing how to be first at restaurants that have long lines, or wondering if I should finally splurge on a Chapman Stick.----------------I became a sourcer because I wanted to change the way we hire and to be in a position where I can give people a chance and vouch for them if they are good. Even if I have to work overtime, I would rather take that extra call than miss out on an awesome, full-of-potential candidate. I'm here today because I, too, had people who took a bet on me.
