I started writing my own stand-up comedy material, sketches and plays in high school at the age of 15. I started my comedy career at the age of 19 when I became, for a period, the youngest professional stand-up comedian in South Africa. Notable achievements: • A nomination in the Best Newcomer Category at the prestigious South African Comics’ Awards in 2013 • I self-produced my one-man show, Temporary Insanity, at the National Arts Festival in Grahamstown. The show received raving reviews on Cue Magazine, the official Festival program. • I opened for Late Night News Television host Loyiso Gola at his one-man show in 2015. • In 2015 I was in the Top 21 of the biggest international comedy competition in the world, Jokenation, to win a spot to perform at The Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland. • In 2016 I produced my second comedy special, 25, which sold out at venues in Johannesburg and Cape Town. • In 2016 I also opened for Skhumba Hhlope’s sold out comedy special, First of All, in Cape Town and I was a part of David Kau’s successful stand-up comedy ensemble show, Blacks Only, at Emperors Palace Johannesburg
