Rion Antirion Bridge Steel Structure Coordinator
•Rion Antirion Cable stayed bridge and approach viaducts construction.• Review all design produced by the design team in France. Integrate construction requirements in the design. Make sure that contractual obligations are integrated. • Plan, schedule and monitor the issuance of Particular Technical Specifications, Technical Requirements and all necessary contractual documents for all steel work to be sub-contracted, either in Greece or to international steel fabricators (Cimolai, DSD Dillinger-Stahlbau GmbH, IHI, Cleveland Bridge U.K, Baudin Chateauneuf, etc)• Preparation of tender documents and negotiations of international subcontracts for seismic isolation and dissipation devices, and of major steel structures. • Review and follow up for the design of temporary structures and work methods, necessary for the construction department. • Support technical issues raised by the on-site works of major sub-contractors (Cleveland Bridge UK, METKA, Freyssinet etc) related to the main bridge deck steelwork assembly.• Handle relationships with the Design Checker (Buckland & Taylor Canada), related to the design of the bridge steel structures (deck, pylon head, etc) as well an isolation and dissipation seismic devices. • Handle relationships with the Supervision Engineer (Faber Maunsell) related to fabrication and erection of the steel structures and seismic devices. • Follow up of the fabrication, in subcontractor’s factories, (in Greece, UK, Italy) of all the above-mentioned bridge parts.
