As a child, I always wanted to build a time machine -- at A.R.O., we're making it happen. I lead A.R.O.'s technology efforts, which revolve around inferring rich context from all of the various signals and sensors that we each emit through our mobile devices and PCs. Our goal is to understand who and where you are and what you're likely to do next, so we can tell you what you need to know, right when you need to know it.

Led research and development of Kiha’s revolutionary mobile technology and platform from initial prototype through functioning scalable software solution. Led data scientists, computational linguists, and engineers through the complete software development lifecycle. Championed continuous evaluation-driven approaches to statistical systems, and metrics-driven R&D.

As the lead of NetSeer's data analytics team, I was responsible for driving semantic data quality efforts. I managed and acted as technical lead for a software development team. This role included coordination of development, analysis and measurement efforts between different engineering departments. I leveraged information retrieval and data mining techniques to develop new metrics and techniques for measuring semantic similarity of text, and developed data-driven models of user search behavior. Relevant technologies: Hadoop, MapReduce, EC2, SOAP/REST, Java, J2EE, term vectors, kernel analysis.

Participated in design and development of next-generation secure wireless network setup technology intended to provision credentials and configuration to newly added network devices, both within home and enterprise environments. Developed cryptographic modules for Windows and Windows CE clients. Integrated with existing COTS web server to allow utilization of provisioned cryptographic credentials. Assisted with development of architectural proposal for standards-track submission.

Developed intrusion detection and penetration packages for monitoring and evaluating system security. Developed a high-security operating environment using COTS multi-level security technology. Designed a next-generation Linux honeypot system and next-generation attack deflection software. Designed an adaptive security system to react to detected threats in a distributed system.

Designed Modal, an XML-based UI description language for describing interfaces for a variety of consumer devices. Implemented a PalmPilot-based interpreter for Modal and developed an interface transmission protocol for IBM's TSpaces, a Java-based tuplespace implementation.

Developed a suite of front-end information clients for IBM's state of the art intranet data search and retrieval system: Grand Central Station. Work included Lotus Notes integration, development of an email-based client, as well as a 3Com PalmPilot client application.Developed portion of query interface for Grand Central Station "search for Java" (formerly http://www.java.com) website. Managed team of four other students through successful completion of project.
