They say you cannot teach old dogs new tricks, well that is not the case for me. I chose to step into surveying a little latter than most, so my ten years of experience as a surveyor has equally as much in life experiences, this unique grounding makes me who I am today. I believe I am an observant and intuitive person who seeks to endorse professional ownership to the work I do.I currently hold an Associate Degree in Spatial Science qualification in surveying, and with growth and experience, I realised that pursuing a Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) would complement those milestones. Locally I work with a small survey team and our clients’ requests range from the usual, to diverse and creative, so I find we are quite adaptable. I am still a cadastral surveyor at heart; being formally grounded in this field, yet diversification in this sector has proved necessary. Apart from the usual cadastre exposure, I am involved with the civil construction sector, mining sectors of both quarry, gas and coal development and rehabilitation, solar farm development, flood mitigation studies, regional infrastructure monitoring and mapping, and lastly UAV photogrammetry acquisition.
