I am currently working for XYPRO in Simi Valley, California. Before that I worked as an independent consultant for many years.I have been working with the HP Nonstop (formerly Tandem computers Inc.) system since around 1980, in the areas of operations, systems support, and application development. As a consultant I had to be flexible and adaptable because every customer environment was different, with different technologies in use and different development standards in place. My systems support work included the development of advanced system monitoring and automation tools, some of which used privileged code to peek into the operating system for information. Specialties: I have considerable experience on the HP Nonstop system and have also done programming for the MS Windows environment.   As a senior developer at XYPRO my duties include participating in all aspects of XYPRO's product development life cycle, including product design and development. Most recently I was the sole developer of a major new product for XYPRO for the NonStop system. That product required deep knowledge of the Guardian operating system, knowledge of various older and newer technologies that exist on the NonStop system, and knowledge of the databases that exist on the NonStop system.I work directly with the development team to solve problems, review code, and design software solutions, and I perform support work for other XYPRO products as necessary.
