Collected, cleaned, and counted seeds from a large variety of horticultural specimines - emphasizing on trees and shrubs. Scanned seeds and cataloged plant material to be uploaded to the GRIN national database. Transplanted seedlings and tended to greenhouse plants. • Worked full time with specialty crop unit at Kemin Industries greenhouse, field, and lab. Crops included hemp, monarda, marigolds, indigo, mint, and oregano.
• Field work included data collection, transplanting, plant grading, weeding, and collecting plant material for lab analysis, and propagation. Tasks were diversified throughout the season.
• Lab duties included plant extractions via chemical processes, steam distillation, micropropagation, moisture samples, and data entry. Minimal HPLC experience.

• Conducted a variety of germination testing on seeds, including standard, cold, sand, and accelerated aging germinations. Worked primarily with soybeans, and corn – but some specialty crops.
• Prepared media for germinations, dumped seeds, and assisted with a variety of other tasks.
