My role as the Northern Virginia Internship Program Lead consists of the following:-Supporting and monitoring the professional, academic, and personal performance of high school interns. -Actively recruiting rising seniors by going to high schools and presenting information regarding Urban Alliance and the services it offers.-Conducting weekly workforce development workshops.-Developing and nurturing relationships with Urban Alliance Partners, High School Counselors, and Internship site Mentors.-Collaborating with mentors to conduct formal evaluations of interns and their progress.-Counseling interns on post-high school options, the college application process, and developing individual plans for each intern.

Working with youth/adolescents during or after school using evidence-based social skills curriculums to promote effective cognitive-behavioral interactions and behaviors. Treatment includes: Developing techniques to communicate effectively, Therapeutic groups, Individual counseling, Social skills, Anger management, Conflict resolution skills, Appropriate classroom behavior, Improved focusing skills, Appropriate verbalization

Supporting the operational and organizational functions of the organization in consultation with the Director of Operations and the Justice Systems Manager. Responsible for: systems support, finance and account management support, events and meeting management support, programmatic support, website support, and Youth Defender Leadership Summit support
