The Student Cinema Prize was created by France Culture in 2015, and aims at rewarding an independent director whose films have been supported by the channel since May of the previous year. In 2017, I became part of this jury by writing a free critic of the movie 12 Years a Slave, directed by Steve McQueen. For the year 2018, other members of the jury and myself attributed the France Culture prize to the movie Les Garçons Sauvages (by Bertrand Mandico).
