I am excited to return to Reboot Rx, if only for a short time before my studies at the University of Otago! In support of the organization's mission to give generic drugs a new life in oncology, I am performing in-depth literature reviews and writing PR materials.

I held weekly open hours in the Baldwin Center for Learning and Teaching for appointments to:- Lead students to think critically about the organization of their argument, their use of evidence, and the efficacy of their language in their writing- Teach students tools they can use to assist in their writing process- Facilitate student's brainstorming of ideas

My goal this summer was to investigate the use of peptoid enzyme-mimics to enantioselectively catalyze trifluoromethylation reactions. Fluorine, and the trifluoromethyl group in particular, enhances the stability and potency of many drugs, including, but not limited to, antidepressants, HIV treatments, and cancer therapies. Peptoids are easily customizable and have potential to work well with a wide range of substrates in a way that would be groundbreaking for existing trifluoromethylation catalysts.After extensive research, I designed a series of peptoid catalysts to synthesize. I analyze the yield of my synthesis as well as its trifluoromethylation products with High Performance Liquid Chromatography and Chiral Mass Spectrometry. My project also includes a 15 min talk on my work to students and faculty of the Bowdoin Chemistry Department. I continued this work into an independent study through December 2022.

- Validated and extracted relevant data from scientific literature about generic drugs with potential for repurposing in anti-cancer indications in order to strengthen Reboot Rx’s AI evidence synthesis pipeline- Synthesized data sets of 15-20k entries in Microsoft Excel to gain further insights on pipeline performance - Implemented data visualization through close collaboration with tech team for project with patient/doctor advocacy group resulting in co-authorship on abstract presented at Prostate Cancer Foundation scientific retreat, by:--> Transforming data extracted from ~300 published clinical studies using Microsoft Excel and Tableau Prep--> Building three Tableau dashboards from this data to clearly display our insights to our target audiences of patients, doctors, and researchers

I studied neuromodulation as it relates to diet dependence in the crabs Pugettia producta and Libinia emarginata. Additionally, I analyzed transcriptome and mass spectrometry data in order to identify and compare the neuropeptides present in the nervous system of these crabs.

- Teach kids of all ages and abilities swimming and water safety skills- Communicate with parents about the progress of their children- Participate in lifeguard duties outlined below

- Maintain the safety of the waterfront by preventing and responding to emergencies- Work on a team to ensure that the beach, trails, and facilities are clean and safe- Act as a spokesperson for Hale Summer Club when engaging with current or potential patrons
