Working as a Director of Learning and Development at CEB, now Gartner, means I get to help people in our 100+ offices around the world build their professional and managerial skills through training, coaching, and on-the-job experiences. I really enjoy analyzing and solving problems (How can we improve engagement for X staff? How can we change X behavior? How can we improve X process?) and managing large and scary projects.Gartner is an exceptional company focused on unlocking the potential of organizations and leaders by advancing the science and practice of management. Given what we do for clients, the associates we attract are intellectually curious, seek out challenging experiences, and get immense pleasure from helping members and colleagues perform better. I learn something from my colleagues every day.I am passionate about food, which led me to take my radical sabbatical to culinary school. I also recently discovered running, and have become hooked—I went from never having run more than a mile to completing half marathons and marathons. Most of my time though is devoted to my family. I have three young kids which means intense joy and exhaustion!
