2013- 2015 Teacher for East Aurora School District (Scott Elementary)Here I taught 4th grade for two years. I was a part of the 4th grade PLC. I was also a volleyball coach for 4th and 5th grade girls volleyball. As well as I was on the science committee working to integrate NGSS standards into the districts science curriculum. I attended many PD seminars on NGSS, WTW, Kagan Strategies, as well as Guided Math implementation. 2015-2016 Reading Specialist for Plainfield School District (Meadow View Elementary)I spent a year as a reading specialist, working with students who were reading below grade level and needed extra support in the areas of reading and writing. I was trained in the Guided Reading Plus program and Comprehension Focus Group Program. As well as trained on how to provide running records and oral reading assessments to students. I met with student groupings daily (either in a small group or one on one setting). I tracked their data overtime to monitor growth that they were making. 2016-2021 Teacher for the Plainfield School District (Meadow View Elementary)I have been a 4th grade teacher at Meadow View for the past 5 years. I am a part of the 4th grade team, we meet weekly to plan and discuss student growth and concerns. I am also apart of the the technology committee working on ways to implement technology into our school, and classrooms. I am a co-leader of the schools student council committee, offered to 4th and 5th grade students. We work to make the school and community a better place. I am also apart of the math and ELA SAC committees for the district, working to enhance curriculum and planning.
