Performed compliance audits for the International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF). Reviewed compliance with ISSF conservation measures for partner tuna companies and vessels. Ensured standardization across compliance reports and vessel/company grades.

Graded student labs and fielded student questions for Applied Data Analysis for Environmental Science during Fall 2021.Graded student labs and aided in instructing students for Environmental Data Analytics in Spring 2022. Both courses are primarily based in R.

Worked with the Marine Mammal Protection Team at NRDC, along with colleagues from the Center for Biological Diversity and the Animal Welfare Institute, to research foreign fishery legislation, regulations, and available marine mammal science focusing on compliance with the newly enacted Marine Mammal Protection Act Import Provisions.Transitioned this summer fellowship work to a part-time consultant position through December 2021.

Phang Nga, Thailand

Lived in a small fishing village in Thailand for a summer while working on several environmental projects, including:- Encouraging sustainability and reduced plastic use in the local community- Working with sea turtle rehabilitation centers to maintain good health and living conditions amongst captive green and hawksbill turtles, as well as aiding in their releases back into the wild- Performing biodiversity surveys in two national parks, focusing on mammals and insects- Creating a bird biodiversity registry for a local island- Cleaning mangroves and beaches, as well as planting new mangrove trees and releasing fish into developing mangrove areas- Creating a mangrove awareness survey for tourists, to be used in knowledge and needs assessments by local government officials
