This covers every aspect of our organisation and has wide reaching implications.This includes organising relevant EDI training, facilitating member communities with special interests in diversity (such as the LGBTQ community) and improving systems and practices across IPEM. To widen our impact I have presented our work at a number of meetings and events. I liaise extesively with stakeholderrs and participate in external initiatives such as those from the Royal Academy of Engineering, the Science Council, BAME Healthcare Science Trainees etc. My background in Communications means I am well aware of the importance of clear messages and bringing everyone in an organisation together to achieve an inclusive work and membership environment.In addition to my EDI work I am setting up the Investing in Volunteers standard across the organisation. Managed the institute's extensive scientific conferences and events programme. This involved working with member volunteers, speakers, external suppliers and partner organisations to deliver a variety of events.

Ruf Reisen is Germany's largest specialist youth tour operator which organises group tours for young people. I did several trip as a tour rep accompanying young people on 2 week tours across Europe and then worked as the Head Tour Representative in Malta for a summer season. I also worked in their head office where I managed the evaluation of the feedback questionnaires from the tour reps and presented the findings.
