From Melbourne, Australia, Eva McGowan moved to Barcelona in 2016. She is a teacher, researcher, and co-founder of the cultural initiative, Toldot Barcelona. Eva is a passionate ESL teacher. With varying experience in Language academies and private classes. Her most rewarding position has been designing and teaching 100 hour basic English for work, connecting to youth and building confidence in her students.She has been deeply involved in the creation and organization of Casa Adret project, the first Jewish Cultural Center of Catalonia run by cultural platform, Mozaika, where she has been able to bring her historical interests in Medieval history and food heritage to life, running and designing Jewish tours and Jewish culinary experiences for Toldot Barcelona since 2016.Over 4 years of experience teaching English as a second language to a wide range of ages.Over 4 years as a tour guide, product developer, and event co-ordinator (Barcelona)12 years of experience working in hospitality and customer service.Experience with translation and editingCourse development for English For Work aimed at unemployed youth.
