BSc Bioscience graduate from Technological University Dublin.From this course I developed a broad knowledge of microbiology, immunology, genetics, biotechnology, data analysis, cellular biology, biochemistry and pharmacology as well as gaining laboratory experience through to the hands on nature of the course. The practical applications included in this course include working with spectrophotometers, carrying out PCRs, cell/ tissue staining/ analysis, titrations, fermentations, DNA analysis, use of agarose gel/ SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis and microbial culturing/ identification/ testing. MSc Precision Medicine graduate from University College Dublin.This taught masters has provided me with an in-depth understanding of the field of personalised medicine, the importance of the development of this novel research area, and highlighted the benefits of precision medicine on patients, researchers, and clinicians. Throughout this course I was able to learn about applications of precision medicine such as clinical biomarkers & high throughput technologies within the fields of oncology, entrepreneurship, and AI & digital pathology. I have completed a research project titled 'HIV drug resistance in Ireland 2022' which was a great experience for me to expand my knowledge of this topic.Various group projects and individual assignments within both of these courses have allowed me to gain both interpersonal and intrapersonal skills for the development of my scientific career.
