Optimization of the mechanochemical conditions for the self-assembly of supramolecular entities under room temperature ball-milling and synthesis of a novel platinum-based nanocapsule. Moreover, the fullerene guest encapsulation is explored in solid state.During this project, I developed research skills in both inorganic and organic chemistry: from autonomy in the organization of tasks to the ability to interpret and analyse data.

QBIS-CAT research group has developed through coordination-directed self-assembly several nanocapsules that allows the encapsulation of fullerenes with host-guest properties. These nanocapsules are generated with the objective to purify and to functionalize fullerenes, which are required in areas as biomedicine. In this research, we wanted to develop a novel and more robust nanocapsules based on platinum using traditional solvent-based methodologies and mechanochemistry.
