As a Youth and Community Studies Fellow at UT Austin, I am focused on outreach of topics related to youth empowerment, civic engagement, and social justice. I also work as a freelance copywriter and copyeditor, creating and editing web content for various clients in different industries. I have two associate degrees from Austin Community College, one in journalism and one in government, which have equipped me with the skills and knowledge to communicate effectively and persuasively as I head into my four-year institution. I have over two and a half years of experience in writing, editing, and web design, including my own website voice-of-the-vote.com. I am proficient in website building, content development, and SEO. My core competencies include research, analysis, creativity, and collaboration. I am passionate about using my talents and expertise to amplify the voices and stories of marginalized and underrepresented communities, and to contribute to positive social change.
