Eva Shea has committed herself to advancing the lives of student athletes, most recently as the first female President of the Alexandria Sportsman's Club. She also served as Executive Director of Capital Lacrosse, recognized as one of the nation's most elite high school girls lacrosse clubs, catering to athletes aspiring to compete at the collegiate level. Currently, Eva serves as the Assistant Coach for both the Varsity Soccer and Lacrosse teams at Maret School, DC, having also held coaching positions for JV Girls Lacrosse at St. Stephens & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia, and Varsity girls lacrosse at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School in Washington, DC from 2013 to 2016. Eva's coaching philosophy extends beyond the field, focusing on empowering young women with valuable life and leadership skills. With over 30 years of experience in women’s sports, she has dedicated her career to fostering athletic excellence and personal growth. Eva’s athletic prowess was recognized early on, earning her a place in the Athletic Halls of Fame at Wilton High School, CT, and Connecticut College, where she excelled in soccer and lacrosse, and achieving accolades such as two-time All American and two-time All New England. In addition to her coaching roles, Eva contributed significantly to the Alexandria Lacrosse Club as both a coach and board member for over a decade, and she led a DC Metro team at the US National Tournament in 2014. Eva is a graduate of Connecticut College in New London, CT. She lives in Alexandria, VA with her husband, Robert. They have three daughters: Haley, Hannah, and Mimi.
