A great honor to have been part of the Community Solution Program (CSP) cohort of 2023. I had the opportunity to work closely with Dr. Deidre Combs, and reflect on my leadership style and my vision for my community work. Sharing with experience with 60+ community workers across the world, has given so much learning opportunities from my global peers and gave me friends for life.

During my fellowship at Covenant House New Orleans, I had the opportunity to work with a direct service provider such as Covenant House, that is the only homeless youth center in the state of Louisiana, USA. Covenant House offers services to vulnerable youth from 16 to 22 years old, including parents with children, with a completely inclusive approach. While I was there I was able to learn about the best practices about providing immediate care to youth in crisis with a focus on trafficking survivors including intake procedures and case management with a trauma-informed approach; to learn how to assess youth’s educational needs and develop adequate tutoring programs; to support the implementation of projects that equip youth with the technical and professional skills that enable them to find safe, sustainable, and well-paying jobs such as the “Future in hospitality” project, where I was main trainer; to hold focus groups with young people and encourage them to push for change that suits their needs as residents of Covenant House.

Project coordinator for Multimedia Activism Platform MAP. one of the main projects of theorganization, which consisted in a series of multimedia trainings.▪ Organize the training sessions, related events and press conferences▪ Coordination between the lectures and students participating.▪ Co-create with lectures the program and the trainings methodology▪ Publishing the students work in the MAP blog and create traffic and content to the blog and otherdigital channels ( social media, online portals etc)▪ Prepare monthly progress reports on the project and finalize with a yearly report.
