Also worked with payroll, labour law and was involved in Finance tasks (i.e forecasting and performance evaluation) Part of the hotel's operational management team.

The position involved a strong HR focus (labour law, salary, staffing), ongoing accounting work, forecasting and performance evaluation. A major focus on the support of department managers in the hotel's various systems (forecasting- and staff planning systems).

Among hundreds of applicants, I became one of five selected to attend a one-year leadership training program within Nordic Choice Hotels. The aim of the programme was to go through all departments of a hotel, both strategically and operationally, in order to prepare for a senior position in the future. My placements during the year were; Copperhill Mountain Lodge in Åre (focus: Revenue, Front Office and HR), The Thief in Oslo (focus: F&B departments, and hotelier role), Pre-opening of new hotels At Six & Hobo in Stockholm (focus: budget process and basically everything related to a pre-opening of hotels). During the year I contributed with training department leaders in the (by then) new staff planning system (TimePlan), to develop a completely new forecasting tool within F&B, and with my experience in project planning.

LW Sverige AB is Sweden's largest sheet metal warehouse (“plåtslageri”) and by then had more than 100 employees and a turnover of about 130 million SEK. I was responsible for a number of contracts (constructions) where my tasks consisted of having control over, among other things, staffing, transport and scheduling. I also made forecasts, analyses and follow-up of the financial results. The position increased my understanding of the different challenges of project management and made me confident in a leadership role.
