With my team I work on improving health through advocating societal change, aimed primarily at a healthier (social and physical) environment. We work in close collaboration with other health charities and societal organisations in 'Gezonde Generatie', www.gezondegeneratie.nl

I supported the board and senior management with strategy development on integrated care ('juiste zorg op de juiste plek') and led a team supporting this strategic aim. Regional hospitals will have to transform hugely based on changing demographics and the increasing pressures on healthcare budgets. Within the hospital my role concerns championing integrated care, co-chairing the strategic change group 'JZJP' and advising clinical staff on making their integrated projects work (including new ways of financing healthcare, in close collaboration with health care insurance companies). The aim of the Committee For Societal Quality is to increase the societal value and impact of scientific research. The committee consists of 15 representatives of patients, general society and healthcare professionals. I chaired the committee until July 2021.

Specialist training in Public Health in London and Surrey. I worked in multiple organisations across the NHS and local government. My focus was on the development of (regional) public health strategy and integrated care for elderly in NHS provider organisations (Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust), NHS commissioning organisations (the North West Surrey Clinical Commissioning Group ) and Surrey County Council (local government).
