Passionate sociologist and advocate against poverty at the Flemish Network Against Poverty. As a training and communications employee, I thrive on delivering insights about poverty from a sociological perspective. Beyond my sociological pursuits, I served as the president of the Youth Council of Deinze, channeling the wishes of young people to the city council. I loved this playground of policy influencing, participation, organizing events, and coordinating a team of young people. Here I could not only bring change, but also discovered what I really like to do. Besides that, as a member of Schoonvolk!, the youth work group at the Museum of Fine Arts in Ghent, I honed my skills in target group work and project management.I also wear the hat of a proud student-entrepreneur, having navigated thechallenges of running FlOw, a pop-up summer bar in the tumultuous covid-year of 2020. This venture not only sharpened my stress management skills but also provided hands-on customer experience.During my undergraduate and master's thesis, I conducted an extensive study of the abortion movement in Poland, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
