Did you know that a whopping 90% of financial decisions are driven by emotion, not logic? As a finance student at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington, I’m fascinated by how data can transform the sphere of decision-making in unpredictable environments, whether it’s in business or athletics so that I can make decisions that are rational rather than emotional.As a freshman, I am continually working towards taking advantage of each and every available opportunity to develop my skillset both inside and outside the classroom. Currently serving as the Director of Student Life and Concerns for the McNutt Student Government, I have the privilege of representing the largest residence hall on campus, where I focus on enhancing student experiences and addressing residence hall concerns. I am also involved with the IU Student Foundation's Alumni Affairs, working to bridge connections between current students and alumni. Additionally, as a member of the IU Men's Tennis team, I bring the same level of discipline, strategy, and leadership that I developed during my competitive junior tennis career. The ability to balance academics with athletics has provided me with valuable lessons in time management, organization, and teamwork.When I’m not on the tennis court or organizing events, I’m engaged in finance-related projects. I’ve been selected to join the Capital Markets Club (CMC) in the Investment Management-Wealth Management (IM-WM) division, which aligns with my main interest in finance—Investment Management.
