Supervise and motivate a team of Duty Officers and Team Members whilst leading the people management initiatives with respect to safety, cost, training, quality and service. Responsible for ensuring all employees are working in safe conditions and reinforcing proactive behaviour in the application of safety measures and techniques.Provides guidance to the Duty Officers in assigning and scheduling work based on the section work schedule.Ensure that Emirates Airlines is provided with in-flight catering service as per laid down procedure and specification at all times.Maintain regular liaison with Administration, Warewash,Transportation, Airside Logistics to ensure proper communication at all times with regards to catering uplift and special services. Respond strategically to daily operational matters. Assist the Senior Flight Preparation Manager with the development and implementation of departmental procedures to achieve key result areas, cost savings and operational efficiencies. Comply with the Company Occupational Health and Safety Policies.Apply the Quality Policy and Quality Management System established in accordance with the ISO9001 international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department’s work procedures and in accordance with EKFC’s Quality Policy.

Flight Preparation

Assists in daily operational activities and leads assigned team to achieve established work goals as per laid down specifications and requirements in compliance with established hygiene and safety standards.Allocate work to assigned staff in order to ensure airline requirements are met with in line with laid down specifications and hygiene standards.Liaise with the airline representative in relation to catering uplift, pax figures and any additional service that may be requested on a flight-to-flight basis.Ensure that the loading / offloading procedures are followed as per the laid down policy of the airlines, company and the airport security.Carry out spot-checks at the operations section in order to ensure that food and equipment are provided as per the airline standards on schedule.Regularly liaise with other departments and airline representatives to ensure that service provided is as per laid down standards.Report any unresolved problems that are beyond the jobholder's limits to the Operations Manager who is on duty for appropriate action.Apply the Quality Policy and Quality System established in accordance with ISO 9001: 2000 international standards and execute all responsibilities according to the department work procedures while reflecting EKFC Quality Policy.

Coordinate, including the effective control of staff, the receipt, interpretation, verification and distribution of all relevant airline customer instructions and documentation within the Administration Communications section.Supervise the Admin teams and handle general tasks such as rostering, TAS, work allocation, and appraisals.Supervise the team responsible for the processing of flight documentation through the ERP system, particularly, to ensure the smooth processing of extra items, final loads and the close-out for flight billing. Enter cash flights into ERP and handle associated documents. Supervise the team performing Standards & Specification checks to ensure VIP flights are monitored and that checks are performed on representative samples of flights or targeted areas for improvement.Liaise with FIN / STORES / MD and other EKFC functions as required to obtain clarification and resolve all issues particularly with ERP/ billing.Coordinate and monitor the HACCP documentation within OPS. Schedule on-the-job HACCP training and control the usage of the thermometers.Coordinate training activities and nominations for the Operations Department.Provide shift coverage for all Admin functions in rotation with Duty Officers / Operations Coordinators. Participate with the installation and operation of the Emirates Airlines automated label printing system. Assist AVP’s / SM’s with process improvement projects throughout the entire Operations Department. Supervise all stores activities and transactions that relates to non-technical matters so as to conform with laws and regulations of central and local government as well as the directives, rules and operational regulations issued by the MIASCOR Catering and/or Gate Gourmet InternationalPlan, execute and control all activities assigned to and falling under the umbrella of Main Stores such as management of locally purchased and imported stocks (perishables, dry goods, office supplies, technical items, fuel, chemicals, etc.) as per HACCP, Halal and GGI standards from food receiving to storage to inventory; reporting of monthly importation & consumption of Bonded commissary items to the local Customs office; monitoring of storage areas and equipment; budget forecasting, staff scheduling and administration.

Develop, plan, execute and improve the administrative systems and procedures within the Operations department.Coordinate and disseminate all department activities and transactions that relates to administrative functions with the guidance of the Operations Manager.Gather data, statistics, documentation, and materials needed for the preparation and presentation of the department’s forecast, activities, action plan and budget. Update and monitor the department's efficiency & productivity through the Performance Reporting System.
