Forbidden Merch is a company based in Portugal that services international artists who perform in Portugal and festivals. We run merchandising concession events in which we provide the staff, stands, displays, credit cards machines and POS systems. I joined Firebrand in 2008 for touring work as a freelancer and since early 2013 I have been working on a permanent role at the London offices working in various projects but mainly festival coordination, touring production, exhibition logistics and production.Projects include:Reading, Leeds festivalIsle Of Wight FestivalRewind festivalsBenicassimMany more to come in 2015Touring artists productionHarry Potter - The exhibition. Currently assisting on tour logistics, accounts, stock control, deliveries, leasing with road managers, venues and concession companies. See above for artists worked with.

Co-coordinating Firebrand run festivals, I am working closely with event managers, account managers and the production team to make sure all logistics are in place for the festival. I am also co-coordinating the artists merchandising for each festival, including deliveries, accounts, stock sheets, invoicing and liaising with merchandising representatives or the artists themselves.

Starting in 2010 in Lisbon and Madrid, I started running the operations for the sales of the artists merchandising. Such as the stock in and out, contacting the merchandising representatives, cash payments, restocking, displays and local tax issues. In 2011 the festival was held in Rio de Janeiro where I was in charge of the same field but also the general merchandising for the entire festival with over 700K visitants. In 2012, Rock in Rio was back in Lisbon and Madrid where I looked up the entire operation for 6 months and hired all staff, dealt with merchandising quality and printing, sales, accounts and artist merchandising.

For the duration of the Olympic and Paralympic games in London 2012, Brazil had a host house with a boutique run by Event Merchandising, presenting the new merchandising for Rio 2016. My duties as a supervisor included running the shop, deliveries, schedules, staff management, banking and stock management.

Respond to main office while on tour selling merchandising for the artist's European tour. Deal with cash, displays, figures, deliveries and local sales.

Assisted the tour manager in preparing their tour book and advancing. Worked from home on a freelance basis.

Part of the merchandising sales team, selling for 100K people per day.

Out of 100 people, I won an internship at the Tim Lovejoy London studios for their online channel, in which I edited a behind the scenes weekly video featured on the main channel and learned production skills and team work.
