When I first began at Financeit, the Training team (as it was called at the time) was just created and consisted of two people – including myself. Within a year of existence, I am proud to say that this tiny, two-person team became an indispensable shared service throughout the company. One of our most impactful projects ideated during my first week, where I learned that a lot of the company knowledge was hidden in individuals’ drives and folders. As an advocate for transparency and the power of shared knowledge, I took on the task of compiling all of this material and transferring it to a cloud-based, internal wiki database on a platform called Confluence. Through consistent use and reinforcement, this database has become the norm for both new and old employees to easily access any job or company related information. Between compiling and organizing information, there has never been a dull moment! Financeit has kept me busy with: new product launches, never-ending feature improvements, and being a part of a fraud prevention task force - just to name a few. I am excited to continue working and learning from this driven, agile, and excellent team!• Developed educational materials such as presentations, guides, and quick references • Designed and implemented an accessible wiki database for knowledge sharing between internal employees on Confluence Platform• Liaised with department managers to determine training needs and designed and scheduled effective training programs• Conducted sessions for external partners and internal employees both in-person and via webinars• Supported the Home Depot Project Loan product launch through in-store training and webinars• Filmed and edited custom video learning content, department overview interviews• Worked on Fraud Task Force to solution and implement automated and compliant fraud-mitigation measures

In this role I truly learned the meaning of "customer service is one of the greatest keys to your business success." Supporting such a diverse set of events every month truly challenged me to think on my feet and solve problems while keeping my composure and reassuring the clients. In university I developed an interest in human behaviour and focused that interest on how humans behave in organizations. In second year I applied to work under my professor, Matthew Feinberg, in his organizational behaviour lab at the Rotman School of Management. As a research assistant, I developed my organization and time management skills through not only coding data for our laboratory’s PHD students, but also through independently scheduling and running participants. Working in this laboratory has given me insight on factors that influence the dynamics between managers and employees and has fostered my desire to constantly learn about new and ground breaking research in the fields of Human Resources and Organizational Behavior to apply to my future organizations. • Completed coding and data sorting tasks in excel on a monthly basis to support studies conducted by an organizational behaviour laboratory • Independently scheduled and ran full lab sessions with up to 20 participants each to collect data for ongoing studies

As the President of Rotman Commerce Toastmasters (RCT) in third year, I not only developed excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, but I also developed a resilience to adversity. That year we were faced with increased membership fees and reduced budgets. Through endless nights of looking through the Toastmasters International’s guidelines and restructuring all the events planned for the year, we discovered that by changing our membership structure to half a year, we could not only continue to subsidize our membership fees at the same rate, but also decrease the resulting fee that the students had to pay. On top of that challenge, we also re-branded our organization and increased our membership to the point of having to implement a wait list. • Acted as a mentor for the creation and chartering of a new Toastmasters club to expand our reach• Created and hosted interactive public speaking workshops to develop the skills of first year students• Monitored a $7000 budget and presented sponsorship proposals, increasing sponsorship by 19%
