Researched phosphorus pollution and water quality as a member of the LAKES research experience for undergraduates (REU) supported by the National Science Foundation. Explored the viability of expanding grass-based agriculture in the Red Cedar Watershed, examining what an ideal future looks like to residents and possible changes that can be made today. Conducted, transcribed, and coded eighteen interviews with farmers and community stakeholders. Presented findings at a community poster session.
