Eva Davis is one of three Managing Partners supporting the Chairman of Winston & Strawn in the management, growth and strategic leadership of the firm. Previously, she served as Chair of the 500+ attorney Global Transactions Department. For more than 20 years, Eva has advised her clients on U.S. and cross-border complex business transactions with a particular focus on M&A and private equity. As an adviser to strategics and private equity funds and their portfolio companies, Eva has counseled domestic and international clients in public and private M&A transactions, public and private debt and equity financing transactions, including IPOs and distressed sales and investments in and out of bankruptcy. Eva has also represented public companies and their boards of directors and special committees in connection with enterprise-transformative business opportunities and legal challenges.Eva has been consistently recognized by local and national publications for her excellence, leadership, and client service. She was listed in the 2016-2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in America©, where she was recognized as the 2021 “Lawyer of the Year” in Corporate Law, and has been ranked by Chambers USA in the Corporate/M&A/Private Equity category from 2014-2022 and in the Private Equity: Buyouts category in 2023 and 2024. Eva has served as lead deal counsel and negotiated and completed transactions in a wide variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace/defense, business services, consumer products, industrials, retail, semiconductor, and technology. Her transactional experience includes deals ranging from tens of millions of dollars (for initial private equity investments and financings) to more than $ 5.0 billion (for acquisitions, industry consolidations and dispositions).

Eva represented buyers, sellers, private equity funds, sponsor groups and financial advisors in public and private M&A transactions, including in the bankruptcy or distressed sale context. She represented issuers, investment banks and institutional investors in public and private financing transactions, including initial public offerings.Eva served as Chairwoman of Kirkland’s Global Women’s Leadership Initiative, Chairwoman of the Los Angeles Diversity Committee, Chairwoman of the Los Angeles Associates Review Committee, Co-Chairwoman of the Los Angeles Business Development Committee and as a member of the Global Recruiting Committee and the charitable K&E Foundation.
