As an Events Manager at Action for Boston Community Development, Inc. (ABCD), I plan, coordinate, and execute various events and activities that support the organization's mission of empowering low-income people and communities in Boston. I have over ten years of work experience in administration and event planning from my time working in theatre and in higher education. Before my role in ABCD, I worked as Program and Event coordinator at Harvard University where I was able to sharpen my programmatic development skills. I have very strong communication, writing, and analytical skills in both English and Spanish. I am passionate about creating and delivering impactful events that engage, inform, and inspire diverse audiences, while also ensuring operational efficiency, budget management, and stakeholder satisfaction. I am adept at using various tools and platforms to organize, promote, and monitor events, such as Eventbrite, Zoom, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Apps. I also have experience in collaborating with internal and external partners, such as donors, sponsors, vendors, speakers, and volunteers, to ensure the success of each event. I am a creative, adaptable, and reliable team player who strives to deliver high-quality results and exceed expectations.The driving force behind my commitment to excellence will always be the love I have for my community and my desire to continue making at a better place.
