I am a Teaching Artist of Voice with 17 years of teaching experience, 11 years in a collegiate setting. I have taught musical theatre, classical and commercial music vocal genres in my private voice studio, at Dean College, and at the Community Music Center of Boston. My students range from ages 5-70, and include beginners and professional singers who have performed on Broadway and in Broadway National Tours. I have an expertise in musical theatre vocal styles and repertoire as well as classical and commercial music. Other skills I offer include my strong collaborative piano skills, performance coaching, music theory, sight-reading, and composition. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS My students have performed on Broadway and in Broadway National Tours and have won dozens of awards in local, regional, and national vocal competitions. I have directed more than 200 scenes from musicals, operettas, and film musicals in an annual Summer Scenes Recital for the past 11 years.Since age 5, I have been an active performer, appearing in conferences, conventions, churches, concerts, musical theatre, operetta, opera, a folk-rock band, and a large-scale multi-arts disciplinary outdoor play. I am an award-winning composer who has written musicals, operas, choral works, and other vocal and instrumental pieces that have been performed in more than two dozen states across the country.
