As the Head of Priority Sectors Unit at EEA and Norway Grants, I lead the strategic development and implementation of the funding mechanisms across areas such as the green transition, rule of law and human rights, research and social inclusion in 15 EU countries. I have 18 years of professional experience in international development, working with various stakeholders and partners to design, manage, quality assure and evaluate programs that promote human rights based economic and social development.My core competencies include analytical skills, team leadership, communication, and policy advice. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Oslo, where I specialized in social policy and the relevance of the Nordic welfare model to the Global South. I also have extensive experience as a manager at the World Bank Group, where I oversaw the implementation of the Human Rights, Inclusion and Empowerment Umbrella Program. My mission is to contribute to the reduction of economic and social disparities in Europe and beyond in a manner that protects people and planet.
