Twenty five years ago I started working offshore in a shared position as Sales & Marketing Manager and Technical Supervisor for Hytorc As, a major provider of bolted connections. During the first 11 years in this position I became familiar with most of the Norwegian offshore and onshore process facilities. In capacity of being a problem solver and educator in the field of bolted connections, I gained experience with a wide range of technical problems and solutions within this technical field. This, in turn, allowed me to gain insight into many associated fields of technology, including downhole technologies. This background formed the basis for inventing, in 2008, the (now) patented TorcPlug technology, including the TorcMethod and the TorcPlug®, suitable for various downhole applications. In order to finance technology development in E Plug As, two other technologies were invented more or less concurrently. These two other technologies are known as the E Compressor system and the Nitrogas system. Now, in 2020, the TorcPlug technology, the E Compressor system and the Nitrogas system are exported around the world and are experiencing a strongly growing footprint. The TorcPlug® was also the winner of the 2016 ICoTA Technology Innovation Award in Aberdeen and Houston. Being inspired and motivated by our demanding and capable customers, E Innovation As and E Plug As take pride in being technology developers and being able to provide game-changing inventions to the market, thereby also “Adding New Ways” (our slogan) to the market. We believe these novel and inventive technologies will allow the Operators to benefit technically, operationally and financially both in the upstream and downstream markets.
