As a Ph.D. candidate and researcher, I investigated electric vehicles energy efficiency, CO2 emission balance from the energy and transport sectors, public policies for the diffusion of electric vehicles (EVs), and support infrastructure for EVs in Brazil. I presented a study at the IEEE international conferences (Casablanca, Morocco). I published two articles: one revealed the ideal characteristics of EVs for Brazil, as well as the challenges and opportunities of mass market EVs in the country. The second study quantified and identified the best location for an EV charging network in Belo Horizonte. The thesis was awarded in 2019, and a total of seven articles, and a report were published from 2014 to 2020.

I published two articles: one revealing the main policies for EVs. The second article pointed out that EVs is more environmentally friendly than the ethanol vehicles, and around three and a half times more environmentally friendly than Internal-combustion engines (ICE) vehicles.
