I am a graduate of the University of British Columbia with Bachelor of Science degree specializing in Statistics. Most recently, I am working at Oxford Learning to help students, from elementary to secondary, achieve success in academics through individualized programs. Previously, I volunteered with the UBC Women's Basketball team. From extracurriculars to work experiences, I have found my passion in using different approaches to better understand performance including data analytics and in turn, work together with others to make effective decisions. I am open to pursuing this passion in various industries including but not limited to technology, sports, and education. Key takeaways from my previous experiences include communication, accountability, and employing a growth mindset. My hard skills include bilingualism (English and Chinese), Microsoft Excel, Google Suites, R Studio, and Tableau. Currently enriching the previously listed skills and learning Python. It is important to me to be ready to learn, persistent, and consistent in my work. Working in the previously mentioned industries allowed me to have a healthy work-life balance, since my hobbies include watching and playing sports and this was integrated into my duties. Some of my other hobbies include travelling, cooking, and nature walks. Furthermore, growing up in an international community made me value being open to different experiences and people from various backgrounds. Learning from other people and my past is something I look forward to with the hope to make a difference as well.
