Analyst in the Treasury's Macroeconomic Group from December 2018 to November 2019, and then Team Leader until January 2021.Responsibilities:> Monitoring and forecasting household consumption, income and wealth, including providing regular data updates to the Treasury ministers’ offices and other contacts across government, and presenting and defending updated forecasts to the Principal Adviser (Forecasting) of Treasury’s Macroeconomic Conditions Division> Maintaining Treasury’s forecast models for aggregate consumption and the components of consumption> Supervising the four-person domestic consumption and investment team, includingdeveloping staff, allocating work, setting the quality standard for different products, andmanaging priorities and expectations both upwards and within the team> Drafting content on economic conditions for budget documents, ministerial speechesand briefing products> Briefing Treasury ministers and executives on economic conditions in the household sectorAchievements:> Trained and led a team that produced robust forecasts during an unprecedentedeconomic shock, including building, and adapting the team to, new methodologies> Co-ran monthly discussions on economic issues for the Macroeconomic Conditions Division, providing a forum for analysts to share and consolidate their views on what is happening in the domestic and global economies> Introduced improved knowledge management processes across the division, including anew online filing system and wiki restructure> Protected the wellbeing of her team in the demanding COVID-19 environment
