After the summer camps ended, I transitioned into a Facility Manager Assistant I position, and worked as a rink guard (responsible for on-ice safety and rental skate distribution), cashier (point of sale, email, and phone desk work), and pro shop clerk (sales of gear and skate maintenance). In the summer of 2022, I became certified on our rink's Blademaster sharpening system. In June 2022, I advanced to the next level of Facility Manager Aide. In addition to my previous roles, I am now responsible for shift supervision of other seasonal employees, and perform more in-depth cash handling and building security tasks and Zamboni ice resurfacer operation and maintenance.
