Hello, World!I love anything and everything electronic, mechanical or a mix thereof. I built my first car from the ground up with little more than a rolling chassis, spare parts, some time and a lot of blood, sweat and tears. My first electronic device I built from the ground up was a pocket guitar amplifier - complete with a ring modulator and overdrive / distortion modifiers. It was powered by a 9V battery and paired with earphones so I could practice quietly without driving my parents (or my neighbours) crazy.In high school, I worked with our engineering and technical teachers (along with other students) on an electric car built from an aluminium chassis, bike parts and a LOT of CNC machined pieces. It was an amazing learning experience that I still reflect fondly upon today. It was one of my first major group forays into electrical, mechanical and computer software engineering.My primary passion is in computers and software development, but I love to learn and crave knowledge, so I'm always tackling new areas of interest. My two latest interests are game development using mostly Unity 3D and Blender, and 3D printing.I love to take time just to think about new ideas, projects, etc. Nothing is too far out there, and nothing is impossible.I hope to contribute to society and our advancement of technology someday by making a positive impact globally (like Google is doing working with O3B to bring internet access to everyone!).I'm a firm believer that the only way to truly appreciate and understand something is to dig in and get your hands dirty. That and the old saying - "Don't knock it until you've tried it!"I've been with the love of my life for almost 16 years now, and we have a beautiful (and smart!) daughter who we love very much.
