I am a strategic communicator, photographer, and filmmaker using visual storytelling to advance conservation. I create emotionally compelling and visually striking multimedia products that encourage people to consider new perspectives towards species, ecosystems, and issues. Photos and videos are only impactful if they're used well, which is why I also put deep thought into planning how to use them to sway strategic audiences.As my full-time job, I'm a communications and marketing manager for the National Audubon Society. My passion project is Fireforest, a long-term multimedia exploration forest fire and restoration in Colorado. I also do freelance work for conservation organizations.I focus my work in northern Colorado and the surrounding region, specializing in Western forests, shortgrass prairie, and sagebrush steppe.Communicating across cultures has always been an important part of my life. I speak Spanish and Portuguese and have experience working in rural America, Latin America, and Native America.
