In this position for Chesapeake, I directed day-to-day operations for two rigs, coordinating the design and installation of horizontal wells in the Eagle Ford Shale formation. I collaborated with engineers, geologists and field personnel to optimize our drilling program efficiency and cost-effectiveness while assuring employee safety at all times.My process improvements in the multiple rig program in South Texas were instrumental in reducing cost and days to the lowest numbers in the organization’s history. Additionally, I assumed management of the rigs from the Brazos Valley Acquisition, eliminating 15-20% of the previous asset owner’s well cost.

At this time, I oversaw all nighttime operations on the drilling rig in the Oswego and Meramec STACK formations. My field optimization efforts were a key in enhancing operational efficiency in multiple new plays.

I supervised daily operations for three rigs while designing horizontal wells in the Mississippi Lime Play, serving as the primary liaison and communication contact between service companies and field personnel. I directed the drilling of the company’s first multilateral well in Mississippi Lime, six days ahead of schedule and $1M under project budget.

As a Field Engineer, I executed numerous engineering functions and specialized equipment operations on drilling rigs for projects in Oklahoma and Ohio, adhering to a demanding 14-day-on/14-day-off schedule.
