CurrentPerform electrocardiogram (EKG), Holter monitoring and exercise tolerance testingPrepare written documentation regarding treatment plans and progress reportsInterpret cardiac arrhythmia changes and their occurrence Conduct patient interview, test preparation, test set up, explain procedures to patient(s) before, during and after procedureAssist physicians during test and monitors patients post-procedure. Including EKG rhythm analysis, blood pressure and oxygen saturationProvides communication to appropriate person(s) regarding patient condition and other pertinent information Provide ongoing support to invasive cardiovascular services department and assist nurse during preoperative, intra-operative and postoperative cardiovascular catherization lab procedures; i.e. diagnostic heart angiogram, peripheral angiogram and interventions and pacemaker/ICD implantation and battery changesParticipated in process to select and implement more efficient Holter and Event measuring devices to improve patient safety and satisfaction; coordinated and led staff trainingLed various hospital-wide education initiatives in behalf of the department to provide appropriate information to targeted multidisciplinary groups (physicians, registered nurses, patient care assistants, unit clerks) within the hospital and to patients to improve quality of patient care and improved testing processesResponsible for quality assurance of all equipment within the noninvasive department Responsible for staff scheduling to ensure continuity of care within noninvasive department (Kronos)Coordinate the inpatient and outpatient testing operations in the noninvasive Cardiovascular Services department for maximum productivity and patient safety in collaboration with the Director performing and interpreting cardiologists, inpatient units and referring physiciansAssists Director in hiring and performance appraisal processEstablish a safe environment for all patients
