• Responsible for design calculations and drawing development as assigned by the Chief Department Engineer• Responsible for checking calculations done by Engineers I and Engineers II• Complies with Austal’s employee handbook general guidelines, companyprocedures and policies.

Identify opportunities to improve the safety, reliability and productivity of the designated areaWork in concert with the Mechanical and Process engineers to identify improvements, and implementopportunities for improvement.Provide technical guidance and training to the electrical maintenance and operating teams.Facilitate the identification and/or implementation of Best Practices and Continuous Improvement across all teamsModify electrical prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to correct functional deviationsAssist in the development of Safe Job Procedures (SJP) and Emergency Procedures (EP).Maintain environmental and safety compliance requirements.Identify safety hazards and opportunities for improvement in Safety.Identify environmental opportunities for improvement.Develop and deliver training in relevant areas of expertise.Lead maintenance activities for maintenance outages and shutdowns.

Qualifications:Senior-in-rateSteam Plant Cleanliness InspectorReactor Plant Cleanliness InspectorWCS3M Maintenance person-WCS and supervisory NEC. Served as Electrical LPO through a EOH overhaul and homeport change from Hawaii to Guam. Served as acting ELCPO for 9 months while in Guam. Currently stationed In Hawaii at NSTCP working on MTS and finishing up EWS.
