I work on two programs at the U.S. Census Bureau's Economy-wide Statistics Division (EWD): County Business Patterns and Nonemployer Statistics.County Business Patterns (CBP): - As an analyst, my primary task is quality assurance and review of microdata used to tabulate the County Business Patterns data product. - Responsible for quality assurance before dissemination of CBP data product.- Used internal Census Bureau tools to automate previous tasks requiring days of manual microdata review.- Studied relationships between consumer spending data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and annual payroll data from CBP in the services industry.Nonemployer Statistics (NES):- I work as the primary programmer and analyst for the EWD program, primarily focusing on preparing NES data for public release.- Developed and published public-facing data visualizations using Tableau Desktop and Server. - Improved the program's research capabilities using Python by creating visualizations to study sectors of the economy related to NES, such as the gig economy.- Built and implemented ML techniques for industry classification of nonemployer businesses.

The team won more games in the 2023-24 season than in the last three seasons combined and won the first WIAA tournament game since 2020.Coding:-Oversaw a project taken on by one of the girls basketball team managers during the 2023-24 season to program a statistic tracker that utilizes Google Sheets and Google Slides. We are currently working on an Apple iOS application deployment.-Studying the WIAA's model to seed the Girls' and Boys' basketball tournament. Working on proposing a new ELO-based model to assess a team's strength.
