I have worked a number of customer-focused jobs throughout my career picking up new skills and attributes at each stop. Currently, I am a Personal Banker at Homestreet Bank. My job encompasses more than simply teller work as we are trained to do much more than deposits and withdrawals. I consult potential customers on opening new accounts and safe deposit boxes and then I assist them in opening the product of their choice. I also do research into clients' transaction history if they have issues or questions about their account. We order new debit cards, check books, and other products, connect with potential businesses clients in the area to discover their banking needs, and assist in community outreach programs to promote Homestreet and to support the local community. I am also a Notary Public and am HELOC and Loan Certified. Skills associated with this position would be strong organizational skills, the ability to focus on the needs of an individual while balancing the federal, state, and local laws, and Homestreet's company policies, cash handling, problem-solving, critical thinking, skilled with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, friendly customer service, and banking knowledge. Every day, I use these skills to get the joy of interacting with the amazing people of Ballard and assisting them in their financial needs.
